One of the most interesting functions of the HD satellite receiver Revez Q10 is receive English channels of the BBC in any part of the world in which there receives the sign of the satellite Intelsat 907, in the orbital position 27,50 º W. For it, it is necessary to update the software to the receiver to provide it with these presentations, being necessary the update of the keys in the occasions in which these expire.
We will notice that this happens, when we don´t watch these channels, moment in which the RevezQ10 will show us a picture with a message of warning in the screen.
How do I update the keys of Revez q10?
First enter the setup menu system, press the MENU button on the remote control.
Use the right/left buttons on remote to select Installation.
On right of screen select option Patch Menu and press the OK button.
On the setup screen. Using the left/right buttons on your remote, select BISS in the tab at top right of screen – see picture.
A list of channel packages is displayed (on right-hand side), preceded by a list of codes in hexadecimal. (Don’t worry what hexadecimal means !!)
You need to change the codes for BBC Package (should be first option in list. ). To change the key (s), you need to edit these codes.
Press the green button (this corresponds to the Edit function shown at bottom centre of screen)
Using the up/down/left/right buttons on the remote, position the cursor on the codes lineto be changed. Enter the new codes using the remote.
To insert numbers, use the numbers on the remote control. To insert a letter, use the up/down/left/right arrowson remote to select from the list displayed vertically to the left of the image.
IMPORTANT: When all the codes have been changed, they must be saved.
To store the new codes, select the OK option from the list on the left,below the letter F and press the OK button on the remote control to confirm and store the new codes.
When done, exit the menu (press the exit key on remote).
It is advisable to restart the receiver by powering off using the on/off switch on the back (left) of the receiver.
NOTE: When/if the codes are changed, it usually takes time (maximum one day, normally within a few hours) before the new codes are published on the Internet.
