DiSEqC Switch for mixing several LNB's
DiSEqC switches are definitely satellite signal mixers with some intelligence. It doesn't really do a mix but rather a commutation. The satellite receiver can request at a given moment the channel of a satellite A, and the switch will send the signal of satellite A through the coaxial cable, and at another moment when changing the channel the user can request a channel of satellite B and the switch will send the signal from satellite B.
We have switches to mix two, four and up to eight LNBs. We recommend that the DiSEqC output be a cable that goes directly to the satellite receiver.
The most common case is to have a satellite dish antenna oriented to a satellite and use a multi-focus bracket to put an extra LNB and be able to have a signal from two satellites with a single satellite dish, mix these signals with the DiSEqC and insert it into the cable that we already had put towards the receiver.
