The PIR detector is suitable for installation in outdoor areas. It works by infrared and microwave.
This detector is designed to detect areas between 2.5 and 15 metres, which with the additional sensor of the radar module will be able to detect up to 92 detection zones present. This PIR distinguishes pets from people, so if we have a pet of less than 40kg, the detector will know that it is our pet and will not launch false alarms.
It has a battery that can last up to 5 years (taking into account that the detector is activated about 20 times a day, which is not the most common). It has an IP65 protection rating, which makes it waterproof and dustproof.
We can extend this detector with the DS-PDCM15PF-IR camera to convert it into a PIRCAM, with this we can take images when a movement is detected. When an event is triggered, the camera will send up to 20 photos to the mobile phone, immediately reporting the alarm in question.
