GTLAN Pro 250micron Fiber Optic Cable Stripper
34GTHTS144H Fiber Optic Stripping Pliers from GTLAN
This is an indispensable tool for fiber optic installers when they have to make splices. It is used for stripping fiber cladding between 125 and 250 microns.
The tool has an ergonomic yellow and gray handleand is made of stainless steel..
It has 3 cutting holes with different diameters, for peeling 3 different sizes of casings with great precision and extremely sharp:
- The first strips 1.6 to 3mm. fiber sheaths, for zipcord type patchcord cables.
- The second peels 600 to 900 micron fiber covers, used in pigtaig.
- And the third fiber cover stripper 250 micron, used to remove the 250 micron protective silicone and leave the yarn completely bare at a diameter of 125 microns.
It has a safety lock, to keep the tool closed and an allen type adjustment screw. This screw helps us to calibrate the tool in case it gets out of calibration. To perform the calibration we will have to turn counterclockwise to achieve a little more close the diameter of the hole and otherwise if what we want is to open a little more the diameter of the tool.
