What are the functions of the MOSAIQ6 field meter by Televes?

Ultra-Fast Spectrum Analyzer

• Scanning times of <10 ms and high dynamic range of> 50dB. Equipped with advanced functions for the detection and analysis of signals between 5 MHz and 3300 MHz configurable by the user.

Waterfall

• Graphical representation of the signal in time and color frequency. Ideal tool to analyze interferences or fades difficult to observe in spectrum mode.

Constellation

• It helps to detect the presence of noise, phase jitter, interference and other problems that can affect the quality of the signal by reducing the MER. The representation of the echoes allows them to be located in the DVBT / T2 terrestrial signal, which can degrade the BER measurement considerably.

Multi-standard

• MOSAIQ6 analyzes any analog and digital signal, both in terrestrial band, satellite or cable. Performs all measurements of FM, IPTV fiber optic, WiFi, DVB-T / T2, DVB-C Annex A, B and C and DVB-S / S2 / S2X. DAB and DAB + signal analysis can optionally be included.

Optical Measurements

• Thanks to the optical receiver (configurable as Selective or Non-Selective) it is possible to measure power and optical attenuation at wavelengths 1310nm, 1490nm and 1550nm. Unbeatable tool to analyze RFoG installations.

IPTV

• It allows to demodulate and analyze Unicast and Multicast IPTV flows, showing the video and indicating the total Bit Rates and of each service. It also presents all the information of each of the services, such as SID, VPID, AID, video profile, or bit rate for audio and video. Measures of the protocol such as UPD Payload Bitrate, IP Payload Bitrate and Packet Arrival Minimum are also analyzed.

Network tools

• This functionality offers several network control and monitoring utilities, which can be displayed in mosaic mode. All network information at once, on a single screen (IP, DNS, gateway, connection mode ...).
• These tools allow recognition of a network by auditing the response time (latency or ping) and the connection speed (speed test, upload / download).
• In addition, they also facilitate the detection of connectivity problems by scanning connected equipment (ARP scan) and mapping their ports, whether open or closed, to determine their accessibility (NMAP).

LTE Check

• Analyze the influence of the LTE signal on DTT channels, detecting the need to incorporate filters. If the installation requires it, the LTE Check function will recommend the incorporation of a filter, simulating the situation of the resulting spectrum upon incorporation.
• Prepared for situations of LTE700 (5G) and LTE790 (4G).

Pass / Fail Indicators

• Reduce installation errors with the Pass / Fail screen indicators, a graphical form that facilitates and speeds up the interpretation of measurement results. Different thresholds are available depending on the part of the network to be analyzed: header, central amplifier, branch, connection records, user housing, etc. In addition to the preset values, you can also customize your own threshold values.

100% Automatic

• Connect the input signal to your MOSAIQ6 and, in a few seconds, the meter will automatically fully engage the signal. Looking for the standard first and then all its parameters.
• It is no longer necessary to indicate to the meter the standard of the signal or its parameters. With MOSAIQ6 it is as simple as connecting the RF cable and the meter automatically finds the standard (DVB-T / T2, DVB-C, QAM-B, ISDB-T for terrestrial band and DVB-S / S2 / S2X for satellite band, IPTV, etc.) thus all the parameters related to the standard.

Satellite Identification

• Just connect the RF cable to your MOSAIQ6 and you can find out which satellite your antenna is pointing at. No need for checks or previous configurations.

Echoes

• In the acquisition of DVB-T and DVB-T2 signals, it is very important to check that there are no echoes that can cause problems in receiving them. The MOSAIQ6 allows to visualize the echoes of the received signal, allowing the installer to minimize them as much as possible to obtain an optimal reception of the signal.

User Profiles

• MOSAIQ6 allows you to save multiple profiles depending on the type of installation you should work on. In this way you will not have to select every time all the necessary parameters to perform your measurements. You just have to select the profile you want to work with and all the meter parameters will be set automatically.

Measurement storage: Macrologs and Datalogs

• Save all the details of the signal in your 32 GB of internal memory. While taking measurements or exploring for possible problems, you can save sample data of the signal parameters for further analysis, or simply to record them and make your work reports.
• And not only will the measurements be saved, the screenshots are also saved, just as they were at the time of recording. In addition, you can program a Macrolog, so you can repeat and store the measurements only by indicating the time interval between two consecutive measurements.
• For convenience, take the information with you without transporting the meter. Simply export the data to an external USB memory.
