This 769216 converter is a solution used to extend communication by transmitting data over single-mode optical fiber. The device receives electrical signals through an RJ45 connector and converts them for transmission over a 100Base-FX fiber link using a single-mode fiber cable with SC/UPC connector. It is designed for very high performance, to overcome long distances in point-to-point transmissions, reaching up to 10km distance.
It is very easy to install as it is plug and play and is compatible with single mode (SM) fiber patch cords with SC/UPC connector and CAT5 or higher data cables. It has a metal housing that provides excellent thermal management.
The converter has one RJ45 10/100/1000Mbps Full/Half Duplex port and one SC/UPC optical port. Its LED indicators facilitate the management and diagnosis of the connection status. It is very compact and elegant, with low delay.
It uses wavelengths of 1310nm transmission and 1550nm reception. So it is necessary to use it in conjunction with the Televes 769217 media converter. This pairing ensures efficient and stable bidirectional communication over fiber optics.
